October saw a year pass since Alistair’s life-threatening accident. This time last year Alistair was in a coma with over 33 broken bones following his high-speed accident at Donnington Race Track.
In true Alistair style, he marked the occasion by competing in a Wolf Run. Yes, you read that correctly a Wolf Run!!! The run involved running a 6.2 mile muddy course with many grueling obstacles to complete along the way, including swimming through a cold lake and climbing a 20ft rope ladder.
This was an amazing achievement and we are all so proud of Alistair’s, we are sure you feel the same way too.
Alistair wanted to show his appreciation to the Major Trauma team at Queens Hospital Nottingham who looked after him in the immediate weeks following his accident. Alistair decided to raise funds for the team and donated all money raised through sponsors for the race.
So far Alistair has raised over £1,200 for them and his hard work continues.
If you would like to donate please ask our receptionist next time you’re in the practice.
