The Mail on Sunday’s review pages yesterday included a two-page feature with tips for maintaining good oral health.

The item, which included comments from dental experts, featured advice on brushing technique, dental treatment, diet, and what equipment to use. The feature included a quote from the BDA’s Dr Stuart Johnston who talked about amalgam fillings. Dr Johnston explained that the reason amalgam fillings were banned in some countries was due to environmental rather than health concerns. The feature also makes reference to the new European regulations on tooth whitening.
